Special Hope School Board Meeting
The Hope School Board held a special school board meeting Tuesday morning (4-22). Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Crossley gave his report on the Legislative Audit. The audit was a “clean” audit and the board approved it.
Dr. Crossley told the board there was a salary increase for the teachers/staff, costing the school $680,00 extra. The school’s goal is to have experienced teachers. The board voted to approved the increase for teachers and staff.
Dr. Crossley gave an update on accountability scores for the different Hope schools, like Clinton Primary. Testing scores will be released in July and October. He said the Hope Public Schools are doing really well. One example he gave was that Hope High School is less than half a point away from gaining a letter grade in the annual rankings of districts by letter grades.
The meeting then adjourned.
