John Fredrick Banks

John Fredrick Banks, known as “Johnny,” departed this life and entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2025, at the age of 52. A native of Hope, Arkansas, Johnny was born on August 21, 1972, to Wayne and Brenda Banks.
A devoted member of Union Baptist Church, Johnny lived a humble and simple life centered around faith, family, and love. He was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan and had a deep passion for long-distance trucking. Those who knew Johnny will remember him for his warm smile, big hugs, and his adventurous spirit. He never turned down a dare from his older cousins or brothers—leaving behind countless memories of his fearless, crazy acts that brought joy and laughter to many.
Johnny is preceded in death by his loving parents, Wayne and Brenda Carlton Banks; his maternal grandparents, John Henry Carlton and Pearl Clements Carlton; paternal grandparents, Harvey Banks and Pearl Havens Banks; one niece, Kayla Banks; and one great-niece.
He leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Larry Banks of Magnolia, Arkansas, and Tim Banks of Emmet, Arkansas; along with a host of nieces and nephews, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
Johnny’s life was a testament to courage, laughter, and love—and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial service will be Monday, June 9, 2025, 10AM, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel.
