Three vehicle crash near Ashdown kills one

ASHDOWN – A three vehicle crash Monday evening on U.S. Highway 71 South near Ashdown killed a Texarkana woman.

According to the preliminary report by the Arkansas State Police, Kaprienceya Holloway, 28, of Texarkana was southbound in a 2022 Chevrolet Explorer when she struck the rear of a 2024 Freightliner tractor trailer rig that was stopped in the outside southbound lane. A 2024 Kia Sorento also traveling south swerved to avoid the Explorer and also struck the tractor trailer.

The crash happened at 6:23 pm Monday. Trooper Joshua Broughton investigated.
