Floyd Young, Jr. Obituary
Floyd Young, Jr. was born on July 7, 1939, in McCaskill, AR, to Floyd Sr. and Clora Bell Young. He attended Blevins High School and later worked as an educator for over 35 years. Floyd (Sonny Boy) was known for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and his deep love for his family and community. Floyd accepted Christ at an early age and remained a faithful member of Rising Star Baptist Church, where he served as deacon ministry chairman and choir member. Some of his favorite and most memorable songs are “I Dreamed of a City” and “So Many Wonderful Things”. He married his beloved wife, Arlene Young, and together they built a home filled with faith, laughter, and love.
He leaves to cherish his memory:

and Steven Divon Young (Yolanda Yvette)
● Seven grandchildren, Chelysia, Anton, Emilee, Trace, Nyia, Tyra, and Steven II (Sonny)
● Two great grandchildren, Karlee and Harper
● Sisters, Essie Dean
● And a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Floyd Sr. and Clora Bell, and sister, Ruby.
LEGACY
The impact of Floyd Young, Jr.’s reach in this world can’t be realized. Knowing his impact on people’s lives is beyond our awareness, but many of us are here standing in the light that he showed in various ways. He was many things, but he mastered the art of serving with grace.
