Two arrested in connection with Gentry Chevrolet fire in De Queen

DE QUEEN – On the morning of September 3, 2025, officers with the De Queen Police Department responded to a fire at Gentry Chevrolet in De Queen. Firefighters from the De Queen, Cossatot, and Horatio Fire Departments responded to the scene and worked together to contain and extinguish the blaze.
The Arkansas State Police initiated and led the investigation, with assistance from the De Queen Police Department, the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department, 9th West Judicial Drug Task Force, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), ATF Fire Investigators, State of Arkansas Fire Investigators, the participating fire departments, and other local and federal agencies.
Following an extensive investigation, two individuals have been arrested in connection with the arson:
• Trent Walker Gentry, of De Queen
• Charlie Moss, of De Queen
The case remains an active and ongoing investigation.
Prosecuting Attorney Jana Bradford expressed appreciation for the strong interagency cooperation that led to these arrests.
“This case reflects the dedication and teamwork of our local fire departments, police, and state and federal partners,” Bradford said. “Their coordinated efforts have ensured a thorough investigation and will help bring those responsible to justice.”
