The Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting for 3rd Street Auto and a retirement reception for Don and Jewell Still Friday (12-12) at 3rd Street Auto. Stacy Wylie of Wylie Glass and Salvage has purchased Still’s Automotive and moving the combined operations of Wylie Glass and Salvage to the former Still’s location at 3rd and Washington. The new business is now known as 3rd Street Auto. The company will provide auto repair as well as the services offered at Wylie Glass and Salvage.
Wylie Glass and Salvage began operations in 1950 while Still’s opened in 1959. The two companies have provided many years of service to the Hope area.
Our best wishes go to Don and Jewell Still upon their retirement and to Stacy and Jerita Wylie on their new expansion. The public is invited to stop by 3rd Street Auto.
