Cooking for a Change Workshop coming to Nevada County

PRESCOTT – Nevada County Extension, The Nevada County Extension part of the University Division of Agriculture Research and Cooperative Extension, today announced its upcoming “Cooking for a Change” workshop. This hands-on cooking workshop’s goal is to introduce ways to bring positive changes in health, finances and family time. The event is scheduled for February 16th at 6:00 pm at the Nevada County Extension Office in Prescott.

The theme is Diabetes Management.

According to the American Diabetes Association “Approximately 290,000 adults in Arkansas, or 12.3% of the adult population, have diagnosed diabetes.

Different types of meal patterns will be discussed, and a selection of recipes will be prepared. Join us for a fun flavorful cooking class where we will learn new skills and share lots of laughs along the way. No Experience needed – just bring your appetite and a love for good food!

For all ages (children welcome if accompanied with an adult). Registration: $20 a person payable at the Nevada County Extension office.
