Hope Water & Light Commission Meets

The Hope Water & Light Commission met Wednesday morning (2-25) for their monthly meeting.  All commissioners were present.

The minutes of the previous 2 meetings were approved as presented.  In addition, the financial statements for January were reviewed and approved.
Management presented a proposed updated set of residential internet service plans.  It was pointed out that the cost of each of the levels would remain the same, but the bandwidth would be increased at the 3 lower levels to give our customers more capacity at each of those levels.  Russell Cornelius indicated that they want to be proactive with other options in the Hope, AR area.  After some discussion, the commission voted to approve this request.

The commission then went over various ongoing project updates.  The commissioners heard reports on PrePay accounts, the Integrated Resource Plan, the Twin Creek Solar Project, the SPP/3-Ring Bus, the West Booster upgrade and Fiber to the Home Network.  No action was taken by the commission.
Next the commission went over communications received over the last month.  Finally, the commission went into executive session.  When the meeting resumed, Chairman Lester Sitzes reported that the commission discussed Personnel matters.  After that announcement, a motion was made to raise both Co-General Managers salaries by 5%.  The motion carried 5-0.
Chairman Sitzes announced their next meeting would be March 4, 2026 at 7:30 AM.
The meeting was then adjourned.
