The Nevada School District has announced their “Teacher of the Year” for the 2025-2026 school year. The Agriculture Teacher, Drake Givens, was the esteemed teacher chosen for this year’s award. Mr. Givens has been at Nevada School District going on 2 years and has impacted many students since.
“I would like to congratulate Drake Givens on being named teacher of the year at Nevada School District! He is doing great things, and we are so lucky to have him. Since coming to Nevada, our ag program has grown by leaps and bounds. We have had a 94% increase in students who are taking ag classes and a 125% increase in students who have joined FFA. Students have earned many awards for projects built as well as earning $10,000 on those projects. Students have also earned scholarships for their efforts! Now, we have a barn full of pigs that these students are learning how to care for. So proud of how much our program has grown! Congratulations again, Drake!!!
