The Charitable Christian Medical Clinic of Hope held its annual fish fry fundraiser on May 28th at Hempstead Hall. Each year, the organization feeds about 500, with the majority eating inside Hempstead Hall, and the remainder being carry-out. This is the largest of the yearly fundraisers for the clinic. Thanks goes to the Hope Lions Club for preparing the wonderful meal and to local residents for supplying the homemade desserts for the auction. A special shout out goes to Bro. Neal Riddling and to Mark Keith for serving as auctioneers. Thanks also to The Harmonizers and to Bobby Loe for providing musical entertainment!
We spoke to Tim Nix with the Charitable Christian Medical Clinic to find out how the fundraiser money is spent:
“The money raised pays for a years’ supply of pharmaceutical drugs for the clinic. The money also helps pay for our insurance needs. We certainly are thankful for the over 25 years of support from the community.”
