
George Thomas “Tommy” Allison of Spring Hill, AR, age 86, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at his home. He was born to Marvin and Elsie Allison on Sept. 5, 1939.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Julie McNiel Allison, four daughters: Carol Ruple (Dee) of Spring Hill, AR, Kathy Brown (Todd) of Bodcaw, AR, Cindy Kennedy (John) of Hope, AR, and Tommie Jean Crow (Rusty) of Texarkana, AR. Ten grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren: Haley Rhodes (Justin) – Mia and Ian; Shelby Crawley (Marc) – Jackson, Tatum, Annaleigh, Wheaton; Marley Hayman (Nick) – Bentley, Hinson, Kylan; Bradley Brown; Allie Anderson (Drake) – Taggert, Everly, Elsie; Zette Brown; Cassidy Whatley (Brodie) – Hoyt, Kennedy, Stella; Whitney Elmer (Patrick) – Olivia, Audrey, Paisley; Eden Spears (Evan) – Marschall, Tommy; Macey Clark (Tanner) – Maggie, Lucy.
One sister, Betty Blocker of Prescott, AR and one brother, Wayne Allison of Spring Hill, AR. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Elsie Allison; 2 sisters, Martha Allison and Nancy Hair; niece Sondra Abney.
He was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church since he was saved and baptized at a revival at Bethany as a young teenager. He was a maintenance man all his life after graduating high school. He drove a school bus for Spring Hill School his senior year. He served in the US Army for 6 years during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired from Meyers Bakery in Hope, AR.
He loved fishing and following all the grands around – no matter what sport or activity they were in. He loved to travel with his family to Branson and the beach.
Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Bethany Baptist with Bro. Eric Fisher and Bro. Drake Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Huckabee Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home, Ben Brazzel, Director.
