
Local kids attended a trip recently thru Arkansas Beef Leadership Event (A.B.L.E.). Back in February these kids competed in a multitude of competitions that included anything from speaking contest, quiz bowel, skill-a-thons, beef cattle judging, sales talk and even got to showcase a pen of heifers they raised. The top five kids out of two hundred and sixty three participants got to attend a trip to tour the Angus Association and Biozyme Incorporated. This trip was focused on expanding their knowledge of beef within the cattle industry and to provide them with experience of different leadership roles within the beef industry by building their network base. The kids that attended: Huck Plyler, Hope Emma Evans, Gentry Vallie Yancey, Huntsville Jermeire Purifoy, Prescott Madalyn Johnson, Searcy Adults that assisted: Chris Sweat, A.B.L.E. Director Allison Harman, Instructor – 4-H Youth Livestock Addie Stamps, Beef Commodity Chair Arkansas Beef Division.
