Hope Lions Hear Program On Ken McLemore’s Book and From Emma Johnson Giving 4-H O’rama Speech

The Hope Lions Club heard two outstanding programs on Monday (6-1).  Emma Johnson came and gave a speech she will be giving at the District 4-H O’rama June 9th in Malvern.  13-year-old Emma Johnson gave the speech she will be giving in he “Public Speaking” contest.  Emma’s speech was about family farms.  She did an outstanding job and we wish her the best in Malvern!  Emma is the daughter of Eric and Elissa Johnson.  Her grandparents are Bob and LuGene Erwin and John and Karen Johnson.

Ken McLemore talked about his recently released novel “Lagniappe“.  The book is part of a series McLemore has written centered around a mythical Ouachita County town called “Destiny”.  The story concerns ex-military sniper Brock Beckett and his newly found daughter.  We won’t go any farther than that, but we think you will enjoy the book.  McLemore will be signing and selling his books June 22nd from 10am until 11am at the Hempstead County Library at 500 South Elm.  The public is invited to come and visit with McLemore at the library.
