WELCOME – A hit-and-run crash Sunday night on U.S. Highway 371 in the Welcome community in Columbia County near the Louisiana State Line claimed the life of a Texarkana man.
According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, William H. Cobb, 78, of Texarkana, was in the southbound lane, reportedly in a wheelchair, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene.
The incident occurred at 10:12 pm. Trooper Trey Williams investigated.
