Billie Carol Haynie, forever 29 years young, passed away on June 17, 2026, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on March 27, 1958, in Prescott, Arkansas, Billie spent her life loving the people around her. She was a devoted wife to George Haynie and a proud mother to Matthew (Emily), Laken, and Jordan. Her children were her world, and there was never much doubt about where her heart lived.
Billie loved spending time with family and friends, whether that meant sharing a meal or simply being together. She had a love of travel, sunshine, beaches, and trying new foods, and she passed that curiosity and sense of adventure on to her children. Some of our favorite memories are tied to places she took us, things she encouraged us to experience, and the reminder that there was always something new to discover.
She was also generous with her time, volunteering with local schools while her children were growing up and supporting the people around her whenever she could.
Billie is survived by her husband, George; her children, Matthew (Emily), Laken, and Jordan; many beloved fur-grandchildren; and numerous friends and extended family members whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.
Those who loved Billie will remember her laughter, her love of family, her adventurous spirit, and the way she could turn a simple gathering into time well spent. While our hearts are heavy with her loss, we are grateful for the memories she gave us and the love she shared throughout her life.
We will miss her deeply, carry her with us always, and find comfort in imagining her somewhere warm, sunny, and at peace.
A celebration of Billie’s life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home, Prescott, AR, The Funeral Home of Prescott, Ben Brazzel, Director. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Billie to one of the causes close to her heart, Shriner’s, Children’s or St. Jude’s hospitals.
