
HOPE – The 6th Annual Sparks Fly in July will be taking place this Saturday, July 4th, at the Hope
Municipal Airport. This is a free entry event with gates opening at 5:00 pm. There is something
for everyone at this event, from Food Trucks, Inflatables, Live Music, and of course, Fireworks!
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, a portion of the Declaration of Independence will
be read on the stage at 5:45 pm. New this year, attendees will have the chance to win $100.
When arriving at the gates, each car will receive one ticket. At 7:30 pm on stage, 10 tickets will
be drawn for the chance to win $100. (Must be present to win) The prizes are sponsored by Red
River Wrecker and Livingston Trucking. At 8:30 pm in front of the stage, we will also have the
Most Patriotic Outfit Contest for a chance to win cash prizes sponsored by Ivan Smith Furniture
of Hope and Browns Diner. Fireworks will begin after dark. This event is sponsored by the Hope
Tourism Commission, which makes it possible for all attendees to enjoy an evening of family fun
at no cost.
Stage Schedule:
5:45 pm – Reading of the Declaration of Independence
6:00 pm – Performance of the Night Hawk Band
7:30 pm- Ticket Drawing for a Chance to Win $100
7:35 pm- Performance from Miller County Line
8:30 pm- Most Patriotic Outfit (followed by more music from Miller County Line)
