HOPE – On Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, at 3:pm, officers with the Hope Police Department executed a
search warrant in the 300 block of N. Hamilton Street in Hope, AR. As a result of the search
warrant, Reuben Dendy, 38 of Hope, AR was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery 3rd
Degree (Felony). Mr. Dendy was also served with warrants from Hempstead County and
Texarkana, AR. Mr. Dendy was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and
held pending a first court appearance.
On Sunday, July 12th, 2026, at 1:28am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Jerry
Gomez, 20 of Hope, AR in the 1700 block of East 8th Street. Mr. Gomez was charged with
Fleeing (felony), Fleeing (misdemeanor), Careless and Prohibited Driving and Reckless Driving.
Mr. Gomez was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held pending a first
court appearance.
