Prescott School Board

The Prescott School Board met Thursday August 13th.
The Consent Agenda was approved as were Board to Board requests. The Board also approved a Quote for Construction Materials for the Alternative Learning Environment Space. A bid was accepted for the Technology Building roof.
The meeting time for school Board was set as every second Thursday of the month. A quote for 70 Chromebooks was accepted. For a new maintenance truck, spending up to $30,000 was approved.
The Financial report for August was approved as was the reorganizing of the Band Boosters. They had been shut down and will have all new officers and 501C3 paperwork obtained through the Attorney General office.
Last year’s discipline issues were covered in the Data Presentation. This included suspensions and expulsions.
Superintendent Larry Smith did his report which included work done during the Spring and Summer. The Band HVAC system was fixed, the old Elementary Library roof was replaced and the awning damaged by the ice storm replaced.
The hiring of new Paraprofessional Jarvis Giles was approved.
