ROSSTON – Jordin Haley has been selected as the 2026 recipient of the William and Mattie Bazzelle Scholarship. The one-time $1000 scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving student who meets the qualifications established by the William and Mattie Bazzelle family.
The scholarship honors the legacy of William and Mattie Bazzelle, who were dedicated educators in the former Oak Grove School District in Rosston. Their commitment to education and the Oak Grove Community continues to be remembered through their scholarship.
A special acknowledgment is extended to their son, Dr. William Bazzelle, and his wife, Minnie Bazzelle, whose continued dedication and generosity make the awarding of this scholarship possible each year.
Jordin graduated at the top of her class in May and plans to attend Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, where she will pursue a degree in Exercise Science Pre-Professional. Her goal is to become an athletic trainer.
Jordin is the daughter of Fred and Crystal Haley of Rosston.
