HOPE – On Monday, August 24th, 2026, officers with the Texarkana, TX Police Department arrested John
Allen III, 39 of Texarkana, TX for a warrant issued by the Hope Police Department and the 8th
North Circuit Court. Mr. Allen subsequently waived extradition to Arkansas and was transported
to the Hempstead County Detention Facility on Thursday, August 27th, 2026. Mr. Allen was
charged with Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution and held pending a first court appearance.
