(Attorney Jim Jackson, also a Columbus native, shared this news)
LITTLE ROCK – My hometown of Columbus, Arkansas, has fewer than 100 people, but Friday it was well represented at the Arkansas Supreme Court.
Chief Justice Karen Baker presented Katie Webb Gladden with a plaque recognizing 15 years of outstanding and dedicated service to the Arkansas Supreme Court. Katie currently serves as Senior Law Clerk to the Chief Justice and began her Supreme Court career working for Justice Jim Gunter who is from Hope and whose family ran a sawmill in Columbus.
Katie’s dad, Stan Webb, and I grew up together in Columbus. I still remember Stan & Dana’s wedding in Saratoga. I’m always proud to see fellow Arkansans from our little corner of Hempstead County achieve great things. Her career is a reminder that humble beginnings and hard work can take you anywhere.
It was an honor to help Chief Justice Baker recognize Katie’s service and accomplishments. Congratulations on a well-earned milestone, Katie Webb Gladden!
