WASHINGTON – The Old Washington Farmers’ Market will be open from 8am to Noon this Saturday August 17.

The market is located behind Washington City Hall across from Williams Tavern Restaurant in Washington, Arkansas. Come out and support local farmers and get locally grown produce. Vendors at the market include: Silvey Farm of Bodcaw with purple hull peas, long beans, sweet banana peppers, okra, banana bread, jelly and homemade rolls. Wildflowers from Washington with Honey and okra and cucumbers; Barry’s Produce from Washington with green tomatoes, delicious lemonade, painted flower pots and sugar cookies. Citrus and Saga from Nashville with homage soaps, lotions, fragrance oils, bath bombs and more. Farm fresh eggs too. Come out early to get your first picks of produce for it will go fast. Be sure to also sign up for the giveaway basket. You don’t have to be present to win.
