Nominations sought for Citizen of Year

PRESCOTT – Nominations are being sought for the 2020 Citizen of the Year by the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce.

The rules for nominating someone remain the same: Any county resident can submit a nomination. The nominee must be a resident of the county of have a business located in the county. Nominations and the reason for the nomination must be submitted in writing to the chamber.

A selection committee will judge the nominees based on the following criteria: outstanding service to – family, city, county, state, church related, fraternal, recreational, industrial and educationally oriented services.

The Citizen of the Year, along with the Hometown Hero, Farm Family of the Year and Treasure of Gold, will be recognized at the 2020 chamber banquet on April 16 in the Prescott Junior High School cafeteria.

The deadline to submit a nomination is March 2. The nominations can be mailed to: Citizen of the Year c/o Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 443 – 125 E. Main St., Prescott AR 71857.
