Karen Smith Seeks Re-election As Hempstead County Clerk

 

Karen Mitchell Smith would like to announce that she is seeking re-election for the position of Hempstead County Clerk which she has held since 2017. She is both honored and grateful to the voters of Hempstead County for the trust they have placed in her by allowing her to serve as your County Clerk. Since taking office in 2017, she has cross trained all her employees. She has digitized all the records maintained by the County Clerk’s office as allowed by law. She works diligently with the other elected officials to make sure that the County Clerk’s office and Hempstead County are in compliance with all state, local and federal laws. She has over 30 years of accounting experience making her the best qualified candidate for Hempstead County Clerk. She is a member of First United Methodist Church, where she is a Sunday School teacher, videographer and serves on the Outreach Committee. She is Scoutmaster for Hope’s BSA Troop 5, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Hope’s Noon Lions Club. Your continued support would be greatly appreciated. She will continue to work hard for the citizens and employees of Hempstead County.
