Vernon Ewin

Mr. Vernon Ewin, age 98 went to his heavenly home on June 30, 2022, in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on June 19, 1924, in Seney Iowa, to Charles and Gladys Kennedy Ewin. Vernon was a retired salesman and later a factory worker. He was a United States Army veteran during WWII where he received many medals of valor including the Purple Heart taking much pride to serve his country when he was called upon. Vernon dearly loved his wife, children and most of all his numerous grandchildren in which he passed on to them holding family values close to his heart. He was a long-time passionate member of Bethany Baptist Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances Irene Jones Ewin. four sisters, Ethel Frances, Ruth and Ida.

He is survived by his children: Linda Ziermann of Keller, Texas, David Ewin wife Dianne of Gravette, Arkansas, Diana Applegate, husband Jerry of Spring Hill, Arkansas, ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday July 6, 2022 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest 1001 South Main St. Hope, Arkansas 71801

Funeral service will be 10:00am on Thursday July7,2022,  at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest with Bro. Eric Fisher officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
