Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers were unevenly steady. Slaughter cows were3.00-9.00 lower. Slaughter bulls were 2.00 lower. Quality was average. Lighter weight calves were in high demand.

 

Sold two loads of preconditioned cattle on video, see link for video auction ( https://www.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/ams_3628.pdf ). Supply included: 84% Feeder Cattle (46% Steers, 42% Heifers, 12% Bulls); 14% Slaughter Cattle (89% Cows, 11% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (75% Bred Cows, 25% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 12%.
