Soup lunch at Food Share

PRESCOTT – It was soup day at the Prescott Food Share Thursday.

From 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. visitors could choose which soup they wanted to have for lunch – for $7 a bowl. People could choose from chili, beef vegetable, dumplings, baked potato, vegetable beef with macaroni, vegetable beef, creamy beef enchilada, deer meat 2×4, chicken and dumpling or potato soup. Included with the soup was chips or cornbread, with a desert of either cookies or pound cake. A drink came with it as well.

This is an annual event for the Food Share with all proceeds being used to help the needy in Prescott and Nevada County.
