Loretta Abone Obit

Loretta Abone was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 29, 1960, to Auguster Newton, Sr. and Coral Bell Newton. She was the third oldest of six children.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a dedicated member of Victory Temple Church of God in Christ in Murfreesboro, Arkansas under the leadership of Elder Floyd Stewart.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Cora Bell Newton and Auguster Newton, Sr., her brother, Auguster Newton, Jr.

She leaves to mourn her passing one son, Rico Newton (Latrisha) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one daughter, Tamica L. Abone of Mineral Springs, Arkansas; raised great-nephew, Simuel Newton of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Maxine L. Newton Golson (Danny) of Aiken, South Carolina, Deloris Newton McBride of Nashville, Arkansas, Rosemary Newton White (Hollis) of Nashville, Arkansas and Kathy Jean Newton Stevens (Melvin) of Nashville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Korionte Green, Jordan Newton, Aniya Green, Kadrius Smith, Rihanna Falls; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives, including nieces and nephews and close friends.

Homegoing Celebration Saturday, August 3, 2024, 11:00 am at First Church of God, 946 Martin Luther King Drive, Tollette, AR under the direction of Hicks Funeral Home.
