Hope Civitans presented a $200 donation to Carter Wilcox for his “Carter’s Class” effort to provide all students at Clinton Primary School an opportunity to receive books through the Scholastic Book Fair.  The donation was made during the Taste of Hope event as Civitans manned a table where attendees could vote on potential projects to be undertaken by the Hope Downtown Network.  Present for the donation were Civitans (from left) Helen Wood, Eva Morehead, Linda Blackmon, Kim Smith, Carter’s mom Kelly Wilcox, Carter, and Civitans Twyla Pruden and Bonnie Anderson.  Carter is a fourth grade student at CPS and has raised over $5,000, which will be matched by Scholastic, for books for his fellow students.
