Prescott Christmas Parade and Christmas on the Square

Hundreds of people thronged downtown Prescott Thursday (12-11) for the annual Christmas Parade and Christmas on the Square.Β  The parade featured plenty of wonderful floats and the highlight of Christmas on the Square was a “Little Debbie Christmas Tree” eating contest.

The Little Debbie Christmas Tree Eating Contest was a huge hit, and we want to give a big thank you to the Extension ladies for sponsoring and judging the event. They were amazing β€” keeping count of every cake eaten in five minutes and cheering on each contestant!
πŸ₯‡ 1st Place: Prescott Mayor Terry Oliver with 9 Little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes β€” dipped in Dr Pepper Zero with a little hot sauce on top!
πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place: Jeremy Glass with 5Β½ cakes and some water to wash them down.
πŸ₯‰ 3rd Place: Assistant Police Chief Wright with 5 cakes.
πŸ… 4th Place: Reverend Ivory Curry with 4 cakes.
Everyone received a prize for participating, ranging from a steak dinner to large pizzas from Pizza Inn and even a shrimp dinner from KoFields.
