The annual County Line/Yancey Volunteer Fire Department fundraiser was held Tuesday (4-7) at the Mennonite School north of Nashville off highway 355. The annual events draws hundreds of people from several counties. Of course, everyone wants to help our local volunteer fire departments but the County Line/Yancey crew gives you a great meal for your money including bbq beef, pork, and chicken with the fixings. We saw plenty of Hope folks out including some newly elected county officials and Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton (an excellent promoter of Howard County!). If you’ve never been, make plans to go next year! And the weather was perfect!
