LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock Police Department is continuing to investigate a hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a Saratoga and Mineral Springs native.
At 2:24 am, on May 17, 2026, Litle Rock-Southwest patrol officers responded to 8215 I-30 Frontage Road for a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. The pedestrian, 62-year-old David Wayne King of Little Rock, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The next of kin was notified once the identification was confirmed.
A patrol supervisor arrived on scene and notified Accident Reconstruction Officers who responded to process the scene, take photographs, collect evidence and take measurements. At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed pending a comprehensive review. This investigation is ongoing.
