Dr. Johnny Jones passed away on June 5, 2026, at the age of 75.
Born on July 2, 1950, Dr. Jones dedicated 43 years of his life to serving the Hope and Texarkana communities as a practicing OB/GYN, caring for countless patients throughout his distinguished career. He was an avid LSU fan, enjoyed spending time at the beach, duck hunting, and loved cooking for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Charlotte Jones, and his sister, Lucy Hinson of Hope, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Jen Jones; two sons, Jerrod Jones (Laura) of Lufkin, Texas, and Jacob Jones (Jordan) of Hope, Arkansas; one daughter, Jenifer Martin (Cody) of Sugar Land, Texas; stepdaughter AmyClaire Mugno of Los Angeles, California; and six grandchildren, Katelyn (Anthony), Caroline, John William, Cooper, Jenna, and Jett.
In honor of his memory, donations may be made to the Animal Care and Adoption Center located at 203 Harrison St. Texarkana, AR 71854 or the charity of your choice.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
