HOPE – Anticipation is growing for Bobcat tennis fans for the upcoming 2026 season. This year’s team began practice back in May and will continue to practice two hours a day, four mornings a week for the rest of the summer at the Fair Park courts. Coach Ricky Rhodes and the community have every reason to be excited considering the success of the 2025 Bobcat team. The brightest star of the program is senior Monica Bobo, who finished last season’s state tennis tournament ranked as the #2 female player in Class 4A for the State of Arkansas. It is worth the time to attend a Hope match just to see her play . . . a true class act! Another returning female player is senior Mycah Bradley, who qualified for last year’s state tournament.

There are three senior male players returning for the Bobcats. Riley Bramlett and Davis Johnson will be doubles partners for a third consecutive year. Bramlett sometimes competes in singles matches as well. This duo qualified for state last season by defeating conference rival Nashville in the district tournament in Arkadelphia. One other up and coming star is Drake Mathis who improved greatly during last season and almost made it to the state tournament.

The younger players on the squad will most assuredly contribute to the SUCCESS of the 2026 team. Fans have every reason to be excited for August 25 to get here . . .the Bobcats first home match.
