HOPE – Intrigue and excitement is building in Hope as a brand-new business is soon to launch in town. On August 15th of this year, Tractor Supply Company based out of
Brentwood, Tennessee, will be opening their doors in the old Sears building off North Hervey Street. Originally founded in Chicago, Illinois, Tractor Supply has now expanded to over 2,400 stores nationwide.
To learn more about the incoming corporation, we interviewed Assistant Store Manager C.J. McLean, a Hope native:
To start, we asked her why Tractor Supply would want to move to Hope, and she replied with, “We wanted to help the ranchers and the farmers to be able to have affordable products that they need for their animals, along with anything else they could possibly need around the farm”. When asked about their namesake, tractor supplies, she informed us that they will offer, “Everything needed for your tractor, except for the tractor itself”.
Tractor Supply Co. will not just be for tractors however, according to Ms. McLean, as they will also offer a large clothing department for men and women including shirts, boots, jeans, hats, and even overalls for the old-fashioned farmer. Along with this, a large pet and animal food section will be provided, with a vast variety of foods and supplies available including food, treats, milk replacers, and medicine for any pet needs. In a similar light, they will offer something unlike anything we have ever seen: a do-it-yourself pet washing station. For just $9.99, customers can bring their pets to a small station right behind the pet section to wash their furry friends off. The store will provide blow dryers, large sinks with washing equipment, towels, and nice smelling shampoos and conditioners.
Moving on from animals, they will offer a large hardware section as well. Trailer supplies, ATV supplies, and lawnmowers and supplies for them are just a few of the amenities provided.
Avid hunters will have something to look forward to as well, as TSC will offer deer feeders and game cameras.
After investigating Watermelon city’s newest gem, we have found that farmers, pet owners, and everyone in between will find something to love about the upcoming store. The store will employ a soft opening from August 8th-14th and will officially host its grand opening on August 15th.
