Weighted Average Report for Thursday Jan 19, 2017
Cattle Receipts: 1403 Last week: 1349 Last year: 778
Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 500 lbs 5.00-10.00 higher, over
500 lbs 2.00-5.00 higher. Feeder heifers 2.00-5.00 higher. Slaughter cows
steady. Slaughter bulls steady.
Supply included 575 feeder calves; 729 yearlings, approximately 875 were
preconditioned cattle; 18 replacement cows; 59 slaughter cows; 22 slaughter
bulls. Feeder supply consisted of 42 percent English and English crosses; 37
percent Exotic and Exotic crosses; 21 percent Brahman and Brahman crosses.
Feeder supply included 60 percent steers and bulls; 40 percent heifers. Prices
follow with weighted average price in parenthesis.
