Nellie Jewel Edwards

Nellie Jewel Edwards 86 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in Benton, Arkansas. Nellie was born January 8, 1931 in Laneburg, Arkansas to Irl and Nellie Jones Hurst.
Mrs. Edwards was a member of First Assembly of God of Prescott and was the owner of Nellie Jewel Beauty Salon in Prescott, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husbands, Billy LaFon Edwards and Darrius L. Mitchell; three brothers, Harvey H. Hurst, Ralph Hurst and Ira Lee Hurst; two sisters, Flora Loe and Inez Russell.
She is survived by four daughters, Susan Edwards of Sheridan, Arkansas; Mona Wood of Prescott, Arkansas, Donna Mullins of Texarkana, Arkansas and Leigh Ann Stamp of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 between the hours of 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott, 201 West 2nd Street North, Prescott, Arkansas.
Services will be held in the chapel of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Jerry Hightower officiating. Interment will follow in Laneburg Cemetery under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott.
