Mr. James “Jim” Launius
Mr. James “Jim” Launius, age 85 of Eldorado, Arkansas formerly of Hope passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, in Eldorado, Arkansas. Mr. Launius was born in Eldorado on June 21, 1931 to John Roland and Ora Ophelia Hodge Launius. He had worked for Wheeling Pipeline for over 30 years, a US Army Veteran of the Korean War; a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Eldorado, Arkansas; a Mason, member of the American Legion and the Disabled Veteran’s. Mr. Launius is preceded in death by his parents; John Roland and Ora Ophelia Hodge Launius.
Mr. Launius is survived by his wife; Dora “Deanna” Collier Launius of Eldorado, a son; James “Leo” Launius of Eldorado, daughter; Dawn Beasley and her husband, Chuck of Eldorado, a brother; Roland Launius of Little Rock, a sister; Elinor Cheatham of Eldorado and a grand-daughter; Ashley Deanna Smith and her husband, Chad of Eldorado, other family members and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Launius will be 10:00am to noon on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home 1001 S. Main Hope, AR
Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Steve Pelz officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Shover Springs.
