HAPS Students Learn About Drones
HOPE – Hope Academy of Public Service student Braydon Burris and his father built a working drone using kit parts and a cardboard paper tissue roll.
The device is remotely controlled and battery powered and capable of flight and hovering within a few feet of Burris’ control. Its light weight, however, prevented it in having sufficient flight stability outdoors to overcome wind gusts.
Meanwhile, outside Allen Thompson learns to navigate a four-blade drone which is equipped with cameras and will be used by HAPS students to produce in-flight video.
