ARRESTS

Resharde Ellis, 41, of Hope, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. in the 600 block of E. Dairy and charged with public intoxication and fleeing on foot.

Ricky Evans, 42, of Hope, was arrested at 10:29 a.m. at Wal-Mart and charged with theft of property.
Hector Mendez, 26, of Mission, Texas, and Yoselin Cortez, 23, of McCallen, Texas, were arrested at 1:27 a.m. at Wal-Mart and charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana. Cortez was also charged with careless and prohibited driving and no driver’s license.
