Lady Saints Ticket Sales
HOPE- The Garrett Memorial Christian School Lady Saints softball team had their drawing for a Yeti Hopper 40 today at their new softball complex. The yeti was donated by Clay and Doreen Antley. The Antley’s are both active in the softball organization at the Christian school. Clay is the assistant coach for the softball team and Doreen is the official score book keeper for the team.
The amount total that was raised from the ticket sales totaled at $3,070. The ticket sales will go towards helping the girls purchase their back to back state championship rings. The girls became back to back AACS state champions earlier this year when they defeated their rival team Columbia Christian School of Magnolia with a 8-7 victory followed by a 12-4 victory in 2016.
Not all the girls were able to attend the drawing, but they all were able to sale a portion of their tickets. The girls present for the drawing were, Whitley Richards, Kennedy Hamilton, Courtney Rook, Shelby Pogue, Mallorie Faulkner, Gabby Chandler, and Emily Hood. Assistant Coach Charles Backus was also present for the drawing.
The winner of the Yeti Hopper was Evelyn Murphy, her ticket was purchased from Clarissa Bailey.
