Emogene Allen

Emogene Allen, 87, of Gurdon, Arkansas passed away Wednesday July 26th, 2017 at Twin Rivers Health & Rehabilitation in Arkadelphia, AR

Emogene was born January 20, 1930 to Charlie and Idy Mae (Taylor) Hasley in Richwood, Arkansas.  She was a Book Keeper, Secretary and House wife as well as a member of First United Methodist Church of Gurdon.

 

Emogene was a Member of the “Road Hogs”, she loved traveling, camping, playing cards as well as cooking.  She was a renound hostess and cook.  All loved to eat at Nana & Papa’s

 Emogene is preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings (three sister and eight brothers).

Emogene is survived by her husband Charles L. “Buddy” Allen of 69 years, one son James R. (Karen) Allen of Hot Springs, Arkansas and one daughter, Marianne (Paul) Roe of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Jennilyn (Brandon) Stone, Brooks (Amy) Allen, Chris (Shelly) Roe, Sarah (Steve) Reagin, seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be, Saturday, July 29th, 2017, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

at Pharr Funeral Home of Gurdon. Funeral services will be, Sunday, July 30th, 2017 at 3:00 pm, at Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon with Rev. Robert Hasley officiating with interment to follow in Rose Hedge Cemetery, Gurdon, AR, under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Gurdon.
