House Fire in Hope

The Hope Fire Department responded to a fire at the corner of North Elm and Avenue D Sunday (8-20) around 1:20pm. The house was occupied by Eric Wilhite who called in the alarm. There were no injuries but the house was a total loss. The cause is undetermined. Hope Fire Chief Dale Glanton says firemen were on the scene initially four hours.
