Garage sale on 67 not with festival this year

PRESCOTT – There will be no “Garage Sale Heaven on Hwy. 67” this year.

In years past, the garage sale has been held at the same time as the Fall Festival. However, said Jamie Hillery, executive director of the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, this results in a conflict and those going to the garage sales were unable to attend the festival, and those going to the festival missed the garage sales.

To solve the problem, the garage sale has become a county-wide garage sale and will be held on Nov. 4. This, Hillery said, means two big events won’t be clashing, and residents will be able to attend and participate in both events.
