Hempstead County has contracted out an extensive road construction project on Hempstead County Road 3 (Patmos Road) that is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 16th. The first phase of construction will start at the intersection of Hempstead CR 3 (Patmos Road) & Hempstead CR 132, which is approximately 5 miles south of Hwy. 29 South and Bill Clinton Bypass. Hempstead CR 3 (Patmos Road) will be closed to thru traffic off and on for the duration of this project. Please use alternate routes if possible and exercise extreme caution in construction zones.
