DENTON, TX – Prescott’s Justin Wilson earned the Gridiron MVP Defensive Lineman Award at a summer camp held at the University of North Texas in Denton, earlier this year.

Wilson, a freshman, is a starter for the Curley Wolves, and is the son of Greg and Marcell Wilson, and grandson of Jerry and Dorothy Wilson, all of Prescott.

The camp was under the direction of former NFL player Lance Smith.

According to a release from Sports International Football Camps, Wilson earned high honors and placed among the top performers at the Lance Smith Lineman Camp, showing he should be named to the Gridiron Elite Club.

The camp featured daily instructions, lectures and demonstrations by college and high school coaches on staff. It was geared for offensive and defensive linemen ages seven to 18. The participants were grouped by age, position, ability and experience to allow coaches to teach basic and advanced techniques.

The top performers were picked for the Gridiron Elite at the end of the camp.
