Weather Cooler In October
HOPE- October has been a month of diverse temperatures so far this year. With readings recorded for twenty days, the Southwest Research and Extension Center is reporting a high so far of 92 in October and a low of 37. The official weather station for Hope reports four days with highs in the 90’s and ten days with highs in the 80’s. Two days of lows in the 30’s have been reported. The lowest temperature was recorded the morning of October 18th with 37 the low reading for the 24 hour period ending October 18th was 38.
The drought conditions have about caught up to our heavy rainfall for the first 8 months of 2017. So far in October, Hope has only recieved .13 of an inch of rain. Normal for October is 5.28 inches although rain is forecast for this weekend. The year to day rainfall is 41.98 inches. Normal rainfall at the end of October is 43.98 inches.
