Costume contest Oct. 31

PRESCOTT – Elm Street will be filled with ghosts, ghouls, zombies and superheroes on Oct. 31 for the annual Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce Halloween Costume Contest.

The contest is part of Trick or Treat on Elm Street, which will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Elm Street with businesses having tables filled with candy for the trick or treaters. The costume contest will be held at 5:30 p.m. and is open to children infant through 10-years-old. The top three winners in each age group will win a prize. Registration for the costume contest starts at 5 o’clock.

There is no charge for either the contest or trick or treating. However, children will need to provide containers for the candy.
