Mr. Cyril Stewart

Mr. Cyril Stewart, age 70 of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope. Mr. Stewart was born in Prescott, Arkansas on December 12, 1946 to Carl Ellis and Naomi O’Steen Stewart.  He was a retired electrician working for Stewart Electric, a family run business.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Prescott, AR. and an avid NASCAR fan of Mark Martin.  He was Vice-Chairman for Piney Woods Committee Friends of NRA. He was the time clock keeper for Curley Wolf football for over 55 years.   Mr. Stewart is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Naomi Stewart.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Phyllis Stewart of Prescott, a son Cyril Brandon Stewart and wife Erika of Hope, a daughter April Pennington and

husband Jaymie of Little Rock, a brother James Ellis Stewart and wife Linda of Murfreesboro, five grandchildren: Jacob Pennington, Ethan Pennington, Hayley Pennington, Cyril Benjamin Stewart and Sophie Stewart. Two sisters in law, Janice Callicott and husband Don of Prescott and Amy Sweat of McCaskill. His mother in law, Ruby Wicker of Prescott, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Stewart will be 6:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, November 24 2017 at First Baptist Church in Prescott, AR.

Memorial service will be 3:00pm on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Prescott, AR. Arrangements are with BRAZZEL/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director. Online guest register: www.brazzelfuneralhomes.com

  1. My husband worked with Cyril and James Ellis for several years and always had some funny stories they would tell him. Cyril was always friendly and happy to visit with folks that he ran into! He was a dedicated worker that stubbornly kept going when most sat down! I know he will be missed by many and left lots of wonderful memories to them. Thanks for the smile that you always gave me when we would run into each other, it will always be a warm reminder of the person he was.
