The Hope Kiwanis Club held its annual “Farm/City Day” November 21st. On that day the Kiwanians are urged to invited a farmer or someone who works in agriculture. The program was brought by Dr. Vic Ford, Interim Associate Director of Argicultural and Natural Resource for the Cooperative Extension Service. Dr. Ford is also still the director of the Southwest Research and Extension Center in Hope although Dr. Paul Beck handles the day to day operation in Dr. Ford’s absence. The club and their guests greatly enjoyed hearing Dr. Ford talk about the importance of agriculture to our state and local area.
